Kate first got a taste for competing when she entered and won the Face of Leicester in 2002, spending the year representing the local shopping centre in their advertising campaigns, in magazines, on billboards and even on the side of a bus!
In 2003 Kate won Miss Leicestershire and held the title for 2 years; unsuccessful in her first attempt at Miss England, Kate returned in 2004 and was placed 2nd to Danielle Lloyd, missing out on going to Miss World by just one point! Kate competed in various National and International contests and at the peak of the age limit, 24 year old Kate won Miss Rugby and competed in Miss England for her 3rd and final time.
In 2006, Kate utilised her time and experience to establish ModelZed Promotions, her Midlands based model and promotional agency, whilst continuing her studies at Derby University, studying a B.Ed Honors Degree to qualify as a teacher.
ModelZed is now into it’s 2nd year of business and has forged close links with some of the industries top clientele, having supplied models for assignments all over the UK for companies and events such as The CLOTHES SHOW LIVE, the NATIONAL LOTTERY and MTV!!
In addition to ModelZed, Kate has successfully organised the Miss Leicestershire contest for the past 3 years, also organising live heats for the Mr/Miss England Finals such as Mr Leicestershire and Miss ModelZed.
Kate began presenting in 2003 when she was invited to co-host the Face of Leicester; the event where she would hand over her title. During the last 5 years, Kate has hosted countless live events all over the UK and has been involved in documentaries, various links and pieces to camera for the BBC and SONY Asian Television.
Kate has always wanted to use her experience to train girls in the technique of catwalk, confidence and interview skills. Now a qualified teacher, Kate approached Angie Beasley, the MISS ENGLAND organiser about the prospect of launching the official Miss England model course. As a result, Kate and Lisa have combined their 12 years of experience, and have teamed up with professional photographers to launch the MISS ENGLAND MASTER CLASS.

“For some girls, their first time on stage may be at their live heat or even at the Miss England Final, it can be very daunting for them!”
Lisa.
“The course aims to provide girls with the confidence and catwalk skills that they will need to get them into the final stages of a competition; and the essential interview techniques that could be the deciding factor when selecting the top 3.”
